The Laws of the Universe
While there are many different laws of the universe, we will be covering 6 today that I believe all make the Law of Attraction possible! The theme of all of these laws are, be careful with your words as the universe is always listening to you. Stop preparing for the worst and see what happens when you prepare for the best.
The Law of Prosperity
The secret to the Law of Prosperity is to have perfect faith in whatever you want/whatever you speak/whatever actions you take. Things sometimes have to get bad before they can get good, but we lose our faith on the way there. No matter what is happening in your outer world, you have to hold on to the fact that things will get better because you are saying and acting as they will. Many times, we state we want success, we can even go around and tell everyone else we are going to have success, but in our subconscious mind (which runs the show) we are secretly planning for failure. There could be a laundry list of reasons we plan for failure, but the universe hears us loud and clear. We must believe that no matter what happens, even if we fail at first, we are bound for success. Once we believe in both our conscious and subconscious mind and hold our faith in ourselves and our abilities, the universe will deliver.
The Law of Substitution
The Law of Substitution reminds us that whenever something we thought we wanted so badly, passes us, something better is right around the corner. How long we take to release the first desire depends on how long the “right around the corner” is to get to us. The universe will never take something away from you without replacing it with what is at your highest good.
I witnessed the law of substitution at its finest when my boyfriend and I were moving out of our apartment and searching for something new. No stranger to manifestation, we told the universe what we wanted- A fenced in backyard for the dog, a one family house for privacy, and it had to be under $2,000 a month. We searched high and low for this apartment, but we could not find it. We were either denied because of the dog, couldn’t find somewhere with a fence, or it was way over our price budget. I was devastated that we would have to stay in our current apartment that we were not happy in. I worried for weeks about what we were going to do and where we were going to live. Finally, I released the fear and realized there was nothing I could do, and we would have to wait another year to move. The universe works in mysterious ways (and it showed up for us!!) because we somehow found ourselves in a situation to move into my grandmother’s house (who had moved in with my parents) rent free, with a huge backyard. I am not very close with my family and this situation was unthinkable. It didn’t feel real. We moved right in and put a fence up with the money we would have spent on rent!
The Law of Forgiveness
Forgiveness always starts with yourself. If we cannot forgive ourself, how could we forgive those who have hurt us? If we hold onto anger, resentment, hurt, and pain, our subconscious mind doesn’t understand the difference between ‘me’ and ‘you’. You can easily see the effects of this on someone who is miserable and does a lot of gossiping every time you’re around them. If someone is so bothered and annoyed by others, how do you think they feel of themselves? Remember most of these feelings are a projection of how you feel internally. To spend your night stewing over someone else’s action, which you have no control over, is only hurting yourself. Let these feelings go, and if you can’t do it on your own, find a trusted friend or a therapist to help you work through these feeling so they can be released. Once these feelings are released, you can open your heart to more love and opportunities, which really sets the stage for the Law of Karma and the Law of Non-Resistance.
The Law of Non-Resistance
Many of us will resist the path that is meant for us, and live a life of unfulfillment, not because we don’t know what we want to do, but because we don’t know how. We are too busy planning for bad things to happen to us, our loved ones, and the world around us. We try to run away from these bad situations, but instead they find us everywhere. You will see this playing out in people who do everything in their power to get away from their verbally abusive parent yet end up dating, or being best friends with, someone who has the same qualities. Every time we try to escape (and therefore resist what is happening) it catches up with us in another form of some kind. This law teaches us to heal these things that hurt us, so they can fall into the background and we can move on from them. If someone or a certain situation is hurting you, you first must react differently to change the outcome, once these people realize they are not getting the same attention, they move on to something else.
Another way that we resist is by trying to control everything about the situation. The universe will never let anything meant for you pass you by, there is no way you can “miss” an opportunity that is here just for you. For example, if you are starting a business and worrying about missing out on business deals or trying to control every detail it might be very difficult for you and you end up giving up or becoming extremely discouraged. As long as you continue to plug away at your dreams and act as if this is happening no matter what, the universe will follow your energy and the opportunities will find you no matter where you are or how unreachable you think you may be.
The Law of Karma
The Law of Karma is something most people are very familiar with and can be broken down into other laws underneath it. For today, we will stay with the broad understanding that whatever you do to others, will come back to you. Any word you speak to others or yourself, actions you take, thoughts you think, will come back in some form at some time. If you are constantly thinking and doing good, it will eventually come back to you.
The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction will bring whatever you are focusing on into your life, like magic. What many don’t realize is it doesn’t just to apply to good thoughts, it applies to all thoughts, and it applies to all of the thoughts in your subconscious mind, which many are unaware of. The Law of Attraction can play out on a small scale — thinking of someone and then you see them, or they call you, are both good examples of this. It could play out on a bigger scale, like landing your dream job, car, or relationship. This law is working ALL THE TIME! It is never turned on or off and can’t just be called on when you need it. This can work negatively if someone is always obsessing over an illness or waiting to get it, you are on, some level, attracting this to you. Keeping in mind the 5 universal laws above may help you perfect your Law of Attraction game and remove negative limiting beliefs from interfering with your manifestation.
Which of these laws were already working for you?
